FutureCall LLC blamed the Federal Trade Commission’s national do-not-call list for its decision to fire 137 employees and warned it may have to shut down its main center this week.
According to wire service reports, the Colorado Springs, CO call center now has 63 employees, but 50 of those could lose their jobs next week if there is no new work.
FutureCall, which also has telemarketing centers in Augusta, GA and Omaha, did not lay off any employees from those locations.
