Floral retailer FTD Inc. has merged with FTD.Com, the online floral delivery service. FTD.com, which was launched in May 1999, sells flowers and specialty gifts via the Internet and telephone channels.
Shareholders in FTD.com received .26 of a share in FTD Inc. for every share of FTD.com they owned. The merged companies will trade on the Nasdaq exchange under FTD.com’s symbol, FTDI.
FTD is based in Downers Grove, IL.
