Food.com and MyPoints.com Launch Loyalty Program

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Food.com, San Francisco, an online restaurant takeout and delivery service, and MyPoints.com have launched a co-branded loyalty program, MyPoints by Food.com.

The program, available at http://www.food.com, enables consumers to earn points for every order they place on Food.com and by reading and responding to targeted e-mail and Web-based offers. Points may be redeemed for products and services from more than 50 MyPoints rewards providers, including Barnes & Noble, Macy’s, Hilton HHonors and The Sharper Image.

In the second phase of the program, Food.com plans to allow members to earn additional points for other on-site activities, such as recommending a restaurant, e-mailing a friend, and referring friends who come back to register on Food.com. The rollout of phase two has not yet been scheduled.

The program is being managed by MyPoints.com, a provider of Internet direct marketing, incentive and loyalty products.
