FedEx Corp. unveiled a new charitable program in conjunction with its sponsorship of the National Football League. The program, which allows fans to vote each week for the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week, will not only recognize the NFL’s best rusher and passer, but benefit local children’s hospitals across the country.
Throughout the season, fans will vote for the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week online at www.nfl.com/partners/fedex. Winning quarterbacks and running backs will be announced each week by the league, and FedEx will make a donation of $5,000 to the local children’s hospital in each winning player’s market.
At the end of the year, fans will vote for the 2004 FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year, and FedEx will make a donation of $25,000 to the children’s hospital in each winning player’s market during a ceremony at the Super Bowl.
