Experian Debuts Online Consumer Credit Card Service

Information services firm Experian, Orange, CA, has launched Credit.Expert.com, an online consumer credit management and credit education Web site.

The new online credit card service offers secure online access to personal credit reports, credit scores, credit management and monitoring services and a variety of financial tools and educational content to help consumers understand, monitor and manage their personal credit.

The site is located at www.CreditExpert.com. The site will offer a subscription to the company’s new Credit Manager service to access to credit reports and credit scores, as well as personalize interactive tools. An annual subscription is $79 per year.

Experian has formed a joint venture with Encore Marketing International Inc., a membership marketing company. The new firm, Credit Expert LLC, will manage CreditExpert.com.

“We’ve been actively pursing the best way to move into a direct-to-consumer role and Encore is a tremendous partner,” said Steve Krenzer, CEO of Experian’s e-commerce solutions business unit and CEO of Credit Expert LLC, in a statement. “We are delivering services allowing consumers to play a more active role in managing their personal finances.”
