Two vice presidents at MKTG Services Inc. have left the firm to open a new direct marketing company.

Richard Vergara and Jeff Kobil resigned their posts at the New York office Wednesday. The partners opened for business today under the name List Data Strategies Group Inc. located at 500 7th Ave. in New York City.

The new business will offer list-brokerage, customer acquisition and retention strategies, database development, analytics, modeling and online marketing.

“There has never been a more challenging time for direct marketers than the present, and there is more of a need for sound counsel than ever before,” Vergara said.

Vergara said the split from MKTG was amicable and that the firm intends to use MKTG’s services, such as data processing and online marketing, to support their new clients
