RSCG Worldwide, a New York-based advertising agency network, will acquire Devon Direct Marketing and Advertising Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Devon Direct, Berwyn, PA, is the second largest independent direct marketing agency in the United States, with 1998 billings of $290 million. Devon Direct is noted for its work in the telecommunications, financial services, and technology industry marketing arenas. The agency will continue to operate with its current name under founder and principal Ron Greene, who will serve as president and CEO.
Euro RSCG Worldwide, a unit of Paris-based Havas Advertising Group, is made up of 176 agencies in 72 countries.
