Meloche Monnex, a Canadian direct response insurance company, will acquire Liberty Mutual Group’s Canadian automobile and homeowner insurance operations.Terms were not disclosed.
According to news reports, when the acquisition is completed, Meloche will become Canada’s largest direct-response property and casualty insurer.The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close in April.
