Dodge Searching For Pick-Up Spots

Dodge will give away some of its pick-up trucks in a multi-city search to identify the best spots to pick-up everyday favorite items.

The Key to the Best Pick-Up Spots campaign launched Saturday in 10 U.S. markets. Nominations will be collected at 187 EB Games stores and via radio partners’ Web sites in each market, and at DodgePickUpSpots.com.

Consumers are asked to identify their favorite places to “pick up” physical items like food and information, when they plan on making their next auto purchase, and if they would like to receive information about the 2005 Dodge Dakota. There is one local question for each of the 10 markets: Phoenix, Las Vegas, Sacramento, San Diego, Houston, Dallas, Tampa, Orlando, Seattle, and Portland, OR.

Dodge is targeting first-time truck buyers by tying in the EB Games locations and by asking questions in the entry form that are relevant to 20-somethings.

Upon submitting a nomination, consumers’ names will be placed in a drawing for a chance to receive one of up to 40 keys per market that could start an all-new 2005 Dodge Dakota. A total of 10 2005 Dakotas will be given away.

Beginning on March 12 and continuing through April 16, the winners of each drawing will try keys at a mall-based EB Games store in each market to see if they can start the truck.
