Direct Media Inc. has been named to manage the 787,000-name PC World Magazine subscriber list and package insert program. The appointment takes effect Dec. 4.
The PC World subscriber has an average household income of $75,000 a year and 78% are college-educated. Two-thirds will be personally involved in purchasing application software for their organizations within the next year.
Selections include one-month and three-month hotlines, age, income, presence of children and a number of interest categories.
Inserts are placed in premiums that are mailed to new subscribers.
The prices on the file are tiered at $175/M for computer and technical mailers; $85/M for consumer; and a $110/M general business rate.
The file had previously been managed by American List Council, Princeton, NJ.
