The Direct Marketing Association this week threw its support behind a resolution adopted by the American Legislation Exchange Council (ALEC), urging Congress and the President to renew the standing restrictions on Internet-access taxes and the collection of transaction taxes on remote sales and electronic commerce originating outside state borders.
ALEC is a bipartisan, individual membership association of state legislators, with nearly 2,400 members across America.
