DMA Names Easter Seals Nonprofit of the Year

The Direct Marketing Association has named Easter Seals the Nonprofit Organization of the Year for 2002.

“Despite the current economic and political climate, Easter Seals has successfully applied strategic direct response marketing techniques in both donor acquisition and cultivation programs to raise funds and support for their activities,” said Kory Christianson, director of development, St. Joseph’s Indian School, and Chairman of the DMA Nonprofit Federation’s Advisory Council, in a statement.

James E. Williams Jr., president and CEO of Easter Seals, will accept the award on Aug. 14, at the 2002 New York Nonprofit Conference at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
