Walt Disney will offer its content through cellular phones worldwide.

Walt Disney Internet Group (Japan) signed an agreement with Japanese mobile communications provider, NTT DoCoMo Inc. to jointly market a mobile service that would provide Disney content, including animated characters.

While similar Disney content is already offered to users of NTT DoCoMo’s Internet-accessible (i-Mode) phones in Japan, the two firms will now develop new content specially suited for foreign markets. The content will be distributed via i-mode-like multimedia services by DoCoMo’s overseas affiliated companies.

Walt Disney Internet Group (Japan) is a subsidiary of Walt Disney Co.
