Direct Focus Inc. will rename itself The Nautilus Group, after one of its equipment lines. The Vancouver, WA-based firm markets Nautilus, Bowflex, Schwinn and StairMaster exercise products, primarily through television commercials and infomericals.
The company will cease trading on the Nasdaq National Market, and move to the New York Stock Exchange, where it will trade under the new ticker symbol “NLS.” Both the name change and the move to the New York Stock Exchange will take effect May 21.
In addition to its television advertising, the company markets its products through direct mail, the Internet, telemarketing, and retail and institution sales.
