Apparel cataloger and retailer d’Elia’s Corp., New York, reported a net loss of $10.5 million for the quarter ended August 4, down slightly from $10.9 million for the same period a year ago.
Net sales for the quarter fell to $26 million from $37.3 million in the prior year.
For the six months ended Aug. 4, the company reported a net loss of $19.3 million, up slightly from 1$19.2 million for the first half of last year.
Net sales fell to $62.2 million during the first half from $86.4 million last year.
“We expect to return to net income profitability in the fourth quarter and to be profitable for the second half taken as a whole,” said president Andrea Weiss, in a statement.
