David Dyer to Exit Lands’ End

David Dyer will leave as president/CEO of Lands’ End on Aug. 8.

He joined the Dodgeville, WI-based cataloger in 1998. Under his tenure, Lands’ End’s net income more than doubled from $31.2 million in fiscal year 1999 to $66.9 million in fiscal 2002.

When Sears bought Lands’ End in the spring of 2002, it took a giant step forward in the repositioning of its business by introducing the cataloger’s clothing in its stores. Lands’ End boosted its market penetration through exclusive retail distribution (Direct Newsline, May 13, 2002).

David Dyer will leave as president/CEO of Lands’ End on Aug. 8, according to wire service reports.

He joined the Dodgeville, WI-based cataloger in 1998 which was acquired last year by Sears, Roebuck and Co. for $1.9 billion.

Under his tenure, Lands’ End’s net income more than doubled, from $31.2 million in fiscal year 1999 to $66.9 million in fiscal year 2002.
