Coupons Inc. has begun offering response-tracking services for coupons offered online or by e-mail, which are downloaded from the Internet and printed by consumers. The San Francisco based firm recently acquired additional software to electronically track redemption.
The company now offers integrated targeting and response tracking services. Its clients previously have had to track coupon response themselves or hire a third-party, said CEO Steven R. Boal. Consumers provide information about their interests to the San Francisco-based firm to receive targeted coupon offers.
The tracking is done by matching codes on coupons scanned at electronic cash registers at the retail point-of-purchase, Boal said.
