CoolSavings Launches Coupon Network

CoolSavings Inc. is launching an Internet distribution network for coupons and samples from CPG manufacturers, retailers and restaurants.

CoolSavings Marketing Network (CSNM) has 30 Web sites in the network. They include newspaper publishers such as Knight Ridder and Hollinger International, along with lifestyle sites such as allrecipes.com and weather.com. Coupons appear on these Web sites and consumers can click on a coupon, download it and print.

Chicago-based CoolSavings has an advertising base including General Mills, 3M, Dannon and Unilever, among others.

The coupon technology is set up for advertisers to be able to track each coupon so that subsequent campaigns can be targeted to the consumers who cash in the coupons.
