Islandia, NY-based Computer Associates International Inc. and Poste Italiane S.p.A., the Italian Post Office, plan to form a joint venture to enhance the quality, speed and cost efficiency of Italy’s mail services.
The enhancement is to be accomplished through the implementation of CA’s enterprise management software, which will manage information processing, networks, databases and application software, according to a published statement.
The joint venture company, which will be owned 51% by Poste Italiane and 49% by CA, also plans to offer management and the monitoring of information infrastructures to other public and private organizations.
