Checkers/Rally’s Names New Chief Marketing Officer

Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. has named has named Carlson Restaurants Worldwide veteran Terri Snyder as executive vice president and chief marketing officer, a new role for the company.

The position took effect last Friday.

In her new role, Snyder will oversee marketing initiatives for the Checkers/Rally’s brands. She recently worked as senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, where she oversaw marketing, advertising, product development and brand management for the more than 1,000 T.G.I. Friday’s USA, T.G.I. Friday’s International and Pick-Up Sticks restaurants.

She replaces Richard Turer, Checker’s former vice president of marketing, who left in mid March to pursue other job opportunities.

Snyder brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to the Checkers franchise. From 2002 to 2004, Snyder worked as vice president of brand growth for Domino’s Pizza, where she oversaw led brand strategy, product development and field marketing.

She also held top positions with casual dining and quick service restaurants, including Bennigan’s, Ponderosa Steakhouse and Bonanza Steakhouse. Before that, Snyder worked nearly a decade in a variety of marketing positions at Pizza Hut.
