Cell Phone Marketing Technology Developed

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Technology with applications for point-of-purchase teleservices promotions and transaction payments via cell phones has been developed for grocery and small retail chain stores.

Boston-based Vayusa Inc. and StoreNext Retail Technologies LLC of Plano, TX, have integrated technologies to use cell phones for loyalty marketing programs, including the distribution of promotional coupons while customers are inside stores.

The wireless technology is designed for consumers to use cell phones to pay for products and participate in customer loyalty rewards programs, without having to swipe cards.

With this technology, cell phones can store account information and activate printers at registers to obtain a receipt.
