CDNOW, a Fort Washington, PA-based online music marketer. has signed a one-year marketing agreement with Time Inc.
Under terms of the deal, CDNOW will promote free trial subscription offers for Entertainment Weekly, People and Sports Illustrated on CDNOW to its 3.7 million customers and will receive a percentage of revenues generated from all paid subscriptions.
CDNOW will also receive advertising exposure on various Time Inc. magazine properties, such as e-mails, direct mailings to subscribers, banner space on Time Inc. magazine sites and links from Time Inc. This agreement may be expanded to include other Time Inc. magazines later this year.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
