Williams-Sonoma Inc. reported catalog and Internet sales increased 14.1% to $457.5 million in the fourth quarter last year, compared to $400.8 million in the fourth quarter of 2004.
Internet sales rose 35.7% to $242.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2005, compared to $178.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2004.
For the fiscal year that ended Jan. 29, Williams-Sonoma reported its catalog and Internet sales increased 13.6% to $1.5 billion, compared to $1.3 billion in the 2004 fiscal year. Williams-Sonoma estimated 60% of its direct marketing sales are generated by recent catalog mailings.
Direct marketing sales increased for Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and PBTeens, but decreased for the Hold Everything brand.
