Catalina Marketing Corp., St. Petersburg, FL, reported revenue growth of 34.7% to $86.8 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30. This compares with $64.4 million in the September 1998 quarter.
Quarterly net income increased 24.4% to $11.7 million, from $9.4 million for the prior period. Reported net income for the September 1998 quarter was $6.4 million.
“The core domestic business continues to be a strong driver of our grow, with revenue increasing approximately 25% for the quarter over the comparable period last year,” said Daniel D. Granger, president and CEO, in a statement. “This was driven by several large customers on the manufacturer side of the core domestic business that shifted spending into this quarter to generate promotion activity earlier in the year than originally planned.”
