The John Caples International Awards has extended to Oct. 12 its deadline for this year’s submissions.
Agencies that file before Sept. 17 can save $50 apiece on entries.
This year’s contest, the 24th, features some new rules. For example, some categories have been split into low-budget and high-budget promotions.
The awards normally draw a large number of international entries. This year, four countries have been added–Russia, Portugal, Taiwan and Panama.
“The competition is stiff with agencies from 35 countries competing,” said Andi Emerson, president and board chair of the Caples, in a statement.
Emerson added that “we’re going to have a gala Cabaret celebration this year but we are not responsible for bruised egos.”
