Candie’s Taps Hilary Duff In New Campaign

Hilary Duff adds star power
to new Candies’ apparel line

Candie’s will soon boost its brand with a little star power from Hilary Duff. The company’s fall TV and print campaign will feature the teen actress to help support the launch the junior brand of apparel that will debut exclusively at Kohl’s 670 department stores.

Candie’s in-house marketing team created the campaign, which includes a TV spot described as a fast-paced, music-driven commercial “a la an MTV music video.” Details about Duff’s role in an integrated marketing campaign with Candie’s and Kohl’s will be unveiled in the coming months.

“Hilary is the perfect Candie’s spokesperson,” said Neil Cole, CEO, Candie’s, Inc. in a statement. “She is one of today’s most recognized stars. Her image mirrors the Candie’s girl. She is fun, confident and has a great attitude. We are excited to be partnering with this smart and talented young lady.”

Duff, named one of
People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People, has starred in more than twelve movies and television shows and has sold more than 12 million albums. The teen star will appear in the upcoming film,
A Perfect Man, which co-stars Heather Locklear and Chris Noth. The film hit theaters nationwide June 17.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
