A North Carolina-based company plans to hire at least 400 people when it opens a call center in Cheyenne, WY later this year, according to wire service reports.
Fred Riek, CEO of Help Desk NOW, said the company received enough job applications to warrant opening the call center. Company officials visited the city earlier in May, but held off making a decision until they knew whether there was enough interest to fully staff the facility.
Jobs would start at $8 per hour, and would involve customer support instead of outbound telemarketing.
The company is based in Greensboro, NC and has call centers in Canada and Guatemala.
