Burst Media has launched Burst Direct, a new direct response advertising network division intended for matching advertisers with Web publishers. It will be based in Latham, NY.
The network will provide publishers access to ad campaigns from large direct response advertisers seeking massive audiences. The network is expected to serve more than 1 billion monthly ad impressions across more than 700 Web publishers.
Unlike other online advertising networks, Burst Direct will provide advertisers with the name of Web sites where ads were placed. Advertising will be billed based on CMP rather than a per inquiry basis.
Only run of network advertising orders will be accepted. The network is intended for advertisers seeking a wide reach and frequency, as opposed to targeting by demographic and behavioral targeting. “This is more about tonnage,” said Burst’s CEO Jarvis Coffin in a statement.
