Experian Marketing Services released its first holiday marketing data for the start of the 2012 holiday marketing season. The company has noticed some trends, including: overall email volume for the week is similar to the same week in 2011; “Christmas” and “Black Friday” are showing up in email subject lines; 27 percent of email campaigns have offers in the subject line, up from 25 percent in 2011; and searches for “Black Friday” increased 31 percent week-over-week. Experian also found that 44 percent of total email opens occur on mobile devices, emphasizing the need to make emails mobile-friendly. (Experian)
