Attention Marketers: 44% of Email Opens Occur on Mobile Devices

Mobile emailExperian Marketing Services released its first holiday marketing data for the start of the 2012 holiday marketing season. The company has noticed some trends, including: overall email volume for the week is similar to the same week in 2011; “Christmas” and “Black Friday” are showing up in email subject lines; 27 percent of email campaigns have offers in the subject line, up from 25 percent in 2011; and searches for “Black Friday” increased 31 percent week-over-week. Experian also found that 44 percent of total email opens occur on mobile devices, emphasizing the need to make emails mobile-friendly. (Experian)
