Animated Infographic: ‘Click Here: The State of Online Advertising’

Adobe Systems Inc. released a study Wednesday titled, “Click Here: The State of Online Advertising.” The study “exposes new insights into the beliefs of both consumers and professional marketers that traditional marketing is still more effective than online marketing,” according to Adobe.

Here are some of the interesting findings from the report:

  • 68 percent of consumers say online advertising is annoying
  • 54 percent of consumers say banner ads don’t work
  • 3 percent of consumers say they prefer to view ads via social media
  • 28 percent of consumers say user-generated content is the most effective form of advertising
  • 53 percent of consumers say most marketing is a bunch of B.S.
