AirTrans Airways has signed a three-year deal with Hertz Corp. that enables frequent flyers to continue scoring points with their car rentals.
The deal extends a long-standing relationship between the two companies.
AirTrans’ A+ Rewards members earn a half credit in the airline’s frequent flier program for qualifying Hertz rentals of up to four, and a full credit for rentals of five days or more. Frequent flyers must provide the A+ Rewards number when making their Hertz reservation.
Hertz is exclusive rental company on the AirTrans site. AirTrans passengers can book their car rentals online or call 1-800 Air-Tran. AirTrans also plugs Hertz in its in-flight magazine, Go, on all AirTrans flights.
“Through this agreement, AirTrans Airways has the ability to offer Hertz cars in all of our locations to our loyal customers, and our A+ Rewards members will continue to have an opportunity to earn credits while renting from Hertz,” said Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTrans Airways, in a statement.
Hertz has been exclusive rental car supplier for AirTrans for the past decade.
