A&E Television Taps Metro Direct for Customer Acquisition

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

A&E Television Networks (AETN), based in New York, has tapped Metro Direct to handle its customer acquisition services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Specifically, Metro Direct will prepare AETN subscriber acquisition campaigns for an estimated 50 cable systems, which potentially encompass more than one million households. These leads will be processed at Metro’s data center in New York. As part of this process, geo-demographic lifestyle coding will be appended to each record, classifying AETN prospect households into specific lifestyle segments. Using information generated from its computer model, AETN will be able to select those individuals most likely to respond to their ongoing prospect campaigns for The History Channel, The Biography Channel, and History Channel International.
