A&E Names Slattery to Marketing Post

In his new role, Slattery oversees A&E’s consumer marketing team and is in charge of brand positioning, marketing, advertising and on-air promotion strategies, partnerships and promotions, as well as design. In addition to, he will work to create cross-platform marketing initiatives to boost sales, ratings and distribution.

Slattery reports to Bob DeBitetto, executive vice president and general manager, A&E and works out of New York City. The post went into effect Dec. 4.

He replaces Artie Scheff, who opened a marketing agency this year. The position had been vacant for one year, the network said.

Slattery previously worked as senior vice president creative and marketing at National Geographic Channels International. In that job, Slattery oversaw global on-air and off-air creative, communications and brand marketing for the company’s channels.
