AdUmart Scratches at Potential of HDTV for DRTV

AdUmart Interactive will debut Monday what it claims is the first DRTV spot produced in HDTV format.

The two-minute DRTV spot for the Kitty Vac, a specially designed cat litter box featuring a hood with a patented motorized air filtration system, will be seen in HDTV and digital TV where available and in standard format in other markets, said Robert S. Belzer, president and CEO of AdUmart in a statement.

The spot will air today in eight test markets nationwide. Apex Media will distribute the DRTV spots for Kitty Vac (http://www.kittyvac.com) to targeted television outlets. The spots will also be shown online in a Video-On-Demand format utilizing Windows Media Technology.

The AfterMarket Company, Phoenix, will handle inbound telesales for the campaign. Kitty Vac will be offered for three payments of $39.99, which includes a free subscription to Cat & Kitten magazine.
