Adobe and Yahoo to Offer New Services

Adobe Systems Inc. and Yahoo Inc. have formed a strategic partnership that will combine Adobe’s document-sharing program with Yahoo’s Internet search capabilities, in order to develop additional Internet services.

The companies will introduce a co-branded toolbar with links to Yahoo’s anti-spyware, pop-up ad blocker and search engine.

Consumers and businesses will be able to convert Web pages to PDF documents for content that can be taken offline for viewing, sharing and storing.

“Our multi-faceted relationship will dramatically our exposure and reach to consumers via Adobe’s installed based of more than 500 million copies of Adobe Reader,” said Dan Rosensweig, chief operating officer of Yahoo in a prepared statement.
