3rd Annual IMA Winners Announced By Promo Magazine

Burger King’s “Simpsonize Me!” campaign by Equity Marketing took “Best in Show” honors as well as the award for “Best Promotional Web Site” in Promo magazine’s third annual Interactive Marketing Awards presented Thursday at the Interactive Promo Summit in Las Vegas.

Two different promotions surrounding My Coke Rewards won two awards for best Internet Loyalty and Best Search Engine Marketing.

The IMAs recognize the best and brightest in effective interactive marketing, as well as the valuable role that interactive tactics play in motivating consumer response and creating strong, exciting brands.

The winners are featured in the May issue of PROMO and can be viewed at www.promomagazine.com/awards/iaawards.

Winners were selected by a distinguished panel of judges and interactive experts from leading brands and agencies. The judges reviewed a record number of entries that increased 30 percent over last year.

The 2008 Interactive Marketing Award winners, including two ties, are:

· BEST IN SHOW – Simpsonize Me! by Equity Marketing for Burger King
· BEST PROMOTIONAL WEB SITE – Simpsonize Me! by Equity Marketing for Burger
· BEST SMS MOBILE MARKETING – Doritos X-13D by The Marketing Arm for Frito-Lay
· BEST E-MAIL MARKETING- Dollar General by Motorsports Management International for Dollar General
· BEST NEW MEDIA – Barbie Girls by Studiocom for Mattel
· BEST NEW MEDIA – MXT – YouTube Director by Fathom Communications for Navistar International
· BEST INTERNET-BASED LOYALTY- My Coke Rewards 2.0 by Studiocom for Coca-Cola Company
· BEST SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING – My Coke Rewards 2008 by SearchRev for Coca-Cola Company
· INTERNET-BASED TRIAL RECRUITMENT – Gap Casting Call by ePrize for The Gap and Kodak
· INTERNET-BASED TRIAL RECRUITMENT -Take 3 to Tahoe by Rodale for Chevrolet
· BEST VIRAL MARKETING – PetStyle.com by DataPositive for PetStyle

The winners were announced Thursday at a special luncheon at The Wynn, and co-hosted by Brian Quinton, Promo’s editor-at-large and editor Promo Interactive, the magazine’s online biweekly newsletter. His co-presenter was renowned boxing and wrestling announcer Michael Buffer, whose trademark is “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble.”
