Yum Brands Inc. has named Micky Pant as president of global branding, a new position.
In his new role, Pant, 54, will be in charge of leading and establishing a global brand positioning and identity for KFC, Pizza Hut and all of the company’s brands globally. He will report to David C. Novak, chairman and CEO of Yum Brands.
Pant remains in his current position as chief marketing officer for Yum Restaurants International, a Yum Brands subsidiary. In that post, all of Yum Brands’ chief marketing officers report to him.
Before joining Yum Brands in 2005, Pant worked 10 years at Reebok International Inc., where he served in various marketing roles, including global chief marketing officer. He also held posts at PepsiCo and with Unilever in India and the U.K.
Yum Brands owns and operates more than 36,000 restaurants in more than 110 countries and territories. Its brands include KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Long John Silver’s.
