Advertisers with YellowPages.com will soon be able to have their listings distributed on Yahoo! Local and Yahoo! Yellow Pages, following a partnership announced Friday.
Under the agreement, certain advertisers with Pasadena CA-based YellowPages.com will also be distributed across the Yahoo! properties as sponsored search results. In announcing the agreement, the companies did not specify whether YellowPages.com advertisers would see their listings included with other paid search ads on Yahoo! or whether they would appear in a dedicated portion of the results page.
“Yahoo’s large and loyal user base, as well as a strong brand as a leading Internet company, brings significant value and benefit to YellowPages.com advertisers,” said Charles Stubbs, YellowPages.com president and CEO, in a statement about the deal.
YellowPages.com is a joint venture of AT&T Yellow Pages and BellSouth Advertising and Publishing. The company re-launched in early December, combining SBC’s SMARTpages.com and BellSouth’s RealPages.com under the YellowPages.com URL, shortly after SBC acquired AT&T. YellowPages.com already places ads on AOL Yellow Pages and Switchboard, a subsidiary of InfoSpace.
