The Yankee Candle Co. Inc. reported net income of $44.9 million for its fourth quarter, up 15% from $39.2 million during the same period last year.
The candle direct marketer and retailer posted total sales of $205.1 million for the quarter ended Jan. 3, up 16% from $176.8 million during the prior year.
For the year ended Jan. 3, the South Deerfield, MA firm generated net income of $74.8 million, up from $64 million last year. Total sales for the year were $508.6 million, up from $444.8 million last year.
