Yahoo! Inc., Santa Clara, CA, has launched Yahoo! B2B Marketplace, a directory of online marketplaces of business supplies, materials, and equipment. B2B Marketplace will open with more than 48,000 listings in over 650 categories.
Yahoo! B2B will use DoveBid Inc. as a featured sponsor and listing provider. Other online partners include FreeMarkets Inc.’s AssetExchange; Imark.com, and Tradeout.com. The site will also offer research and comparable price information through features that will allow searches for best deals. In addition, users will have such options as online business news, specific to a user’s industry, and links to various business and financial sites.
