The first-ever Orlando World’s Fair For Kids has signed on a host of sponsors for the upcoming event.

The exposition, which takes place April 15-23, 2006 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, incorporates the latest developments in sports, health, food, science and technology, communications, fashion, travel, learning, toys and games and entertainment to children of all ages.

Radio Disney will sponsor the Jammin’ Kids Pavilion, where visitors can perform karaoke, go to concerts and learn dance steps. Radio Disney will also promote the event on-air and across 5,000 field events nationwide.

As part of its sponsorship, Amtrak will teach kids about the history of railroading at the Amtrak Adventure Kids Pavilion. In addition, the United States Postal Service will offer a mini Post Office on site for visitors to buy stamps and send post cards. The Orlando Post Office will issue a commemorative postmark in honor of the World’s Fair for Kids and the unique postmark is free. Postal personnel will apply it to any item bearing first-class postage.

The fair will also offer six “worlds” resembling mini-themed cities that offer experiential activities— Worlds of Adventure, Technology, Creativity, Entertainment, Health & Wellness and Toddlers. The multi-sensory worlds will include a variety of themed interactive experiences and special autograph sections with popular characters and celebrities.

In addition to the themed-pavilions, Orlando World’s Fair For Kids will include appearances by TV star and singer Raven Symone and country music artist Billy Ray Cyrus and offer film, TV, and book-based anchor attractions and interactive activities. Other scheduled acts include Everlife, Jump5, Bellamy Brothers, Big Comfy Couch, B5, Bob-the-Builder, Calliou, Trout Fishing in America and Savvy.
