Calhoon will focus on marketing strategies and opportunities for Wendy’s emerging brands Tim Hortons, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, Cafe Express and Pasta Pomodoro.
Rowden had been executive VP-CMO for Callaway Golf and before that was Coca-Cola’s VP-worldwide director of advertising, handling marketing (including sports and marketing alliances as well as merchandising) for global brands Coca-Cola, Diet Coke/Coca-Cola Lite, Fanta, Sprite, Minute Maid and Schweppes. He also held VP posts in China and the South Pacific for Coke.
At Callaway, Rowden oversaw global marketing in 68 countries, including the launch of Callaway-branded shoes and apparel.
Rowden joins Dublin, OH-based Wendy’s this week. Calhoon, a 26-year veteran of the chain, now reports to Chairman-CEO Jack Schuessler.
