Virtual Jerusalem Backbone for Co-op E-mail Package

Virtual Jerusalem, a three-year-old Internet site (http://www.virtualjerusalem.com), will send 200,000 electronic co-op e-mail offers to site registrants. The offers, packaged as VJ Deals, will be broadcast once a month beginning in mid-September.

The target demographic of the e-mail co-op will reflect that of the site’s online visitors: 70% are Jewish, 63% are male, with an average income of $60,000. The co-op will be managed by Bohemia, NY-based Database Marketing Concepts. DMC will send an e-mail announcement to all potential recipients before the actual package is sent out, giving consumers a chance to opt out of receiving it while simultaneously assuring that the package is going to a receptive audience.
