UPS Logistics Group, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based shipping giant United Parcel Service, will acquire a majority interest in Germany-based high-tech industry logistics company Uni-Data AG.
Terms were not disclosed.
UPS said it made this acquisition as part of its plans to create a global network of logistics centers that will deliver critical parts, often within hours. Uni-data has a strong presence in Germany and eastern Europe.
Uni-Data offers such services as installation and repair, spare parts and warranty management, urgent delivery services and reverse logistics.
