Universal Express Signs Letter of Intent to Buy Target Market

Universal Express, an express package-delivery service, has signed a letter of intent to purchase Target Market Corp. Financial terms have not yet been determined.

Target Market, which is headquartered in Mokena, IL, provides lettershop and list brokerage services. The 12-year-old company guarantees three-day turnaround on projects.

New York-based Universal Express, a express-package delivery company with a number of subsidiaries, would use Target Market to enhance its network of private postal stores.

Plans call for Target Market to continue to operate as is. Mary Benson, Target Market’s president, said she would continue to run the company as a Universal Express division.
