Unilever has promoted Laura Klauberg to vice president global media.
Klauberg, 52, a Unilever veteran, replaces Alan Rutherford, who left the job to become CEO of Digitas. She will report to Simon Rothon, Unilever’s senior vice president marketing services.
In her new role, Klauberg will be responsible for overseeing media buying and planning worldwide, Unilever said. The position takes effect Sept. 30.
Klauberg, who now works as vice president media Americas, held various titles since joining the company through the Chesebrough-Ponds acquisition in the 1990s. She also worked as Unilever’s vice president of shared marketing services where she oversaw media planning and buying, integrated marketing and PR, among other responsibilities.
Prior to that, she worked as senior vice president of marketing for Unilever’s prestige personal care business, which included the Calvin Klein fragrance.
