TRX Prepares Call Center Exit Strategy

TRX Inc. expects to exit the call center business this year to focus on its existing transaction processing and data integration services.

Atlanta-based TRX has reached an agreement to transfer the assets and liabilities of call centers located in Parkersburg, WV and Milton, FL, to E2E SerWiz Solutions Ltd. (SWS), a subsidiary of a conglomerate based in Pune, India.

“Our agreement with SWS provides a positive transition out of our U.S. customer care operations. It also affirms our belief that customer care providers will benefit from TRX agent automation and transaction processing expertise,” said TRX president and CEO Trip Davis, in a statement.

The transfer of the call centers part of global business alliance and contingent upon certain conditions, which the companies expect to be met by year’s end. Both firms plan to jointly market global travel services in India.
