The spam underworld is apparently in the midst of an effort to build a list of e-mail addresses of the stupidest people on earth who will respond to anything.
Evidence for this comes in the form of a recent e-mail scam claiming recipients are due a refund from the U.S. Department of Energy.
According to the DOE, an e-mail is making the rounds containing the following message:
