The Sportsman’s Guide Inc. expects to report third quarter total sales of approximately $37 million compared to $36.5 million one year ago.
The outdoor gear catalog company also expects to post earnings of four to five cents per share compared to a net loss of three cents per share for the same period last year. The period ended Sept. 30.
In a statement, president/CEO Gregory R. Binkley, attributed the results “a more focused catalog mail plan, significant growth in Internet sales as a percentage of total sales and the accompanying lower cost of order processing.”
Binkley noted that the quarter marks the fourth consecutive quarter of profitability.
The firm sells its products through its catalog and two Internet sites. http://www.sportsmansguide.com and http://www.bargainoutfitters.com
