Snyder Communications Inc., Bethesda, MD, reported net income of $21.7 million on net revenue of $226 million for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 1998, compared with net income of $4.8 million on net revenue of $175.4 million for the same period in the previous year. Net income grew by 350%, net revenue by 29%.
For the year, net income was $73.4 million on net revenue of $815.3 million, compared with net income of $31 million on net revenue of $612 million in 1997.
Snyder Communications provides marketing, communications and interactive services in three segments: healthcare, direct and creative. CEO Daniel M. Snyder said in a statement that over the past year the company’s direct marketing unit has “expanded aggressively throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East.”
